Applied Agroforestry Skills Training for Foresters - May 2025
The Irish Agroforestry Forum in collaboration with DAFM, Teagasc and the Society of Irish Foresters will deliver free Applied Agroforestry Skills Training Courses for Foresters in 2025. Each course will be run over two days. For the May session, Day 1 will be at Salesian Agricultural College, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick on Thursday 8th May. Day 2 will be field visits (location TBC). The session will include the rationale for agroforestry supports, the application process, farm support payment interactions, whole farm planning, system design and tree protection options and any relevant scheme updates.
Tea/Coffee from 9.30am with the session starting at 10.00am. Lunch will be provided. Day one will end at approximately 3pm.
Expert speakers will include Agroforestry Expert Professor Jim McAdam. You will be invited to submit questions in advance of the session that can be addressed on the day so we can do our best to make sure you get the information that you need.
